Every year Google comes with a new Android update; the company pushes the testing phase updates such as Android developer preview, Android developer preview 2, and Android beta version in three parts. In the initial developer updates company has only distributed the updates for the developer use only. While the Android beta update is for the beta testers, let’s see what comes with the new updates.
Google launched the Android 14 developer preview 1 in early February. With this software update company has introduced some changes to the device, including.
API behavioral improvement: In this, the API behaviors offer users a more consistent app experience across devices. There is also updated guidance to help developers capitalize on multitasking and features.
Battery life and system health improvements: Improvements to the internal broadcast system will help make device battery life and battery consumption more efficient for users.
More customization options: It also gives more control over selecting different languages for individual apps; in accommodating low vision users, Android 14 has an increased font size of up to 200% and automatic non-linear font scaling to mitigate common layout issues and make the text more readable.
Then, the company pushed a second preview, the Android Preview 2 is kind of similar software to the first one, but it comes with some new features and changes for the device. In this preview update, the new Android DP, in this updated company, has introduced some security-related features, such as a new dialogue box for permission to access the photo, more control over background activity, and more.
After a month, Google introduced Android 14’s beta update; in the first beta update, Google introduced new capabilities for the devices, such as helpful system UI, Data transparency, and Graphics capabilities. While in the beta 1.1 version, it has comes with fixes for the existing function.
In the next month, Google released the Android 14 Beta 2 update for its devices; in this update, the mountain view company released some new capabilities like saving photos in 10-bit with original quality. Handle graphics efficiently, Health connect, and Data sharing updates. While with the latest Beta 2.1 update company has introduced new fixes for the internal function of the devices.

One UI 6.0 Beta Availability
If we look at Samsung’s previous One UI Beta programs, the Android 12-based One UI 4 Beta was launched in the second week of September 2021, and the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta came to the market in the first week of August 2022. Consequently, there is a high chance that we will get One UI 6 Beta to experience in August or September month. However, One UI 6 Beta’s arrival depends on another factor; let’s take a look at it.
Notably, Samsung can launch the Beta program for One UI 6 only after Google provides Android 14 for AOSP, which will happen after the OS reaches the platform stability landmark. It is possible that Android 14 will be registered in the platform stability market in late July, and right after that, the search engine giant will make the OS available for AOSP so that all manufacturers can start working on their UI as soon as possible.
One more important thing, the One UI 4 Beta first reached the Galaxy S21 series, and the One UI 5 Beta was first got available for the Galaxy S22 series; hence, there is no doubt the One UI 6 Beta will first be available for this year latest the Galaxy S23 series. About the timing, as Samsung is so concerned about its update distribution speed, it will probably launch the Beta in early August. However, the info is still unofficial.
