A couple of weeks ago, the Korean tech giant served the latest May 2023 security patch for the Galaxy Tab S7 series, starting with Europe. Now the company is providing the same level of security for the United States users.

Samsung has started rolling out the Android May 2023 security patch update for the cellular model of Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. Currently, it is available for carrier-locked variants in the US. The latest update carries firmware numbers T878USQU3DWE3 and T978USQU3DWE3, respectively.

The latest update incorporates the May 2023 security patch, addressing over 70 security vulnerabilities discovered in Samsung devices. However, no additional features are introduced for the tablets with this update.

May 2023 update for several Galaxy devices in the US

The Galaxy Tab S7 series offers three variations: LTE, 5G, and WiFi. Presently, the cellular variant in the USA is receiving the May 2023 security update. It is anticipated that the remaining variants will also receive the latest security updates in the near future. Since the Galaxy Tab S7 devices were released in 2020 and are equipped with Android 10, they are no longer eligible for Android OS updates. Nevertheless, they will continue to receive periodic security updates to ensure ongoing protection.
