Unlocked Galaxy Note 20 gets June 2023 security update in the USA

The month of June has begun, and Samsung has certainly not wasted time, starting just yesterday the release of the latest security patches available for the smartphones of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US; as we well know, however, the company does not focus exclusively on latest flagship smartphones but takes care to release updates also for older flagships constantly.

This is the case today, where some of the Korean giant’s smartphones receive, albeit late, the June 2023 security patches, while another Galaxy device receives the latest security update available before many other more emblazoned phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have started receiving the latest June 2023 security patch in the US, and it is currently available for unlocked users. According to Sammobile, the update carries firmware version N98*U1UES4HWE1.

As for the security update of June 2023, with the update, Samsung is concerned with solving 61 problems found on the company’s products, three critical level vulnerabilities, 47 high level, and 0 moderate levels; again, some fixes are specific to Galaxy devices.

Will Galaxy Note 20 get Android 14 update?

It is important to note that this scenario is expected to apply to all forthcoming updates for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. These devices received their final major Android and One UI upgrade with Android 13 and One UI 5.1, and moving forward; they will only be eligible for security updates. It means the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 won’t be available for these Note 20 devices.
