Galaxy A52 5G and A42 5G are stated getting June 2023 security update in North America

Samsung is now joining a new A-series device in the June 2023 security update as Galaxy A42 5G, while the Galaxy A52 5G has already received the update in some Latin American countries, now with the expansion phase company has started rolling out the update, to North American countries.

As we said, the update brings the June security update, and it is the latest security patch which brings only security-related improvements for the Galaxy devices, don’t expect any innovation from this update; it is one of the monthly security updates releases in case if you are facing any issue, then it may have the capability to fix it, but it doesn’t carry any UI related changes.

 5G) and A426U1UES6UEWF3 (for Galaxy A42 5G). Both devices are getting the update on the unlocked variant devices. The catch is that the Galaxy A52 5G device is getting the update in the US, but the Galaxy A42 5G is receiving the update in Puerto Rico.

According to official documentation of Samsung, The Galaxy A52 is listed in the monthly security update category, while the Galaxy A42 5G is listed in the biannual update category, which affects the frequency of security updates. In simple words, the Galaxy A52 is eligible to get a new update each month, while the Galaxy A42 is limited to only four updates per year.
