Samsung has a large catalog of devices. In this collection, the company has made different types of devices that target every type of customer, from the budget segment to the premium segment. Apart from the price range, the Korean giant has also designed rugged phones for users who love adventure, with the company rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro and Xcover 5.

The latest update brings a new August 2023 security patch that doesn’t bring any innovation for the devices; instead, it brings over 80 fixes that enhance the overall security of devices. So if you update the device to the latest version, you will get protection against the newly identified malware.

Currently, the unlocked variant of the Galaxy XCover Pro 6 is getting a new update in the US with firmware version G736USQS6CWG1. Earlier, the European units of the device also got the update with version number G736BXXS4CWG9. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Xcover 5 has also grabbed the update with version number G525FXXS8CWG2.
