The Galaxy M53 smartphone was launched back in 2022. The device came with One UI 4.1, which was based on Android 12. Later,  the device received one major update and now has the Android 13 update. The device is now eligible to get One UI 6 as well, but it will take time. Until then, the device receives the regular update; currently, it is receiving the August 2023 update.

The August 2023 security update is now rolling out in several Latin American countries, including Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. The update in these countries is coming with firmware version number M536BXXS4CWG9. while Brazilian users are getting the update with version number M536BXXS4CWG6.

The latest August 2023 update doesn’t bring any innovation to the device; all it can do is provide some fixes that enhance the security of Galaxy devices. For your information, the latest update includes several fixes that are provided by Google and Samsung. Google brings fixes for resolving the issues found in the Android OS, which will be available for all other Android devices, while Samsung adds some exclusive patches that enhance the performance of Galaxy devices.

One UI 6.0 update won’t available for these Samsung Galaxy devices

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is listed under the Quarterly Updates category, which means the device is eligible to get at least four security-related updates per year. The device has already received more than four security updates this year, such as January 2023, February 2023, March 2023, and May 2023, and is now getting an August 2023 update, so there are very few chances that the device will get more updates.
