Samsung updates Galaxy Z Flip to One UI 5.1.1 in its home country

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip devices. It is worth noticing that the company has already updated these devices in several regions, and now it is introducing the update in South Korea.

The latest update is now available for both LTE and 5G variants of Galaxy Z Flip devices. The LTE version of the Galaxy Z Flip comes with version number F700NKOU4KWH9. While the 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip is getting the update with firmware version number F707NKSU3KWH9. With the One UI 5.1.1 update, the device is also receiving a new security patch in the form of August 2023.

One UI 5.1.1 enhanced multitasking and flex modes

Samsung’s One UI 5.1.1 is the latest One UI skin, which is specially designed for large and flexible-screen devices. With the new skin, the company has rolled out some new enhancements in multitasking, such as improving the app preview on the recent screen. Now you can easily switch to a split screen by pressing and holding the handle at the top of the pop-up window and dragging it to the desired side. You can also easily bring it up when needed. You can drag the pop-up screen to the side so it doesn’t block your view.

Meanwhile, the flex mode has also received some new improvements, like the ability to use more apps with the flex mode panel. The media controls are now easier to use. You will get a dedicated button that allows you to move forward or backward for 10 seconds. If you tap on the time bar, it will show you the time when you tap.

Apart from these, the One UI 5.1.1 update has also brought more enhancements for more features, including Quick Share, Samsung Health, and more.

The One UII 5.1.1 is now live for the South Korean units of Galaxy Z Flip smartphones. Users should start getting notifications regarding the update availability, but in case you don’t get the update notification yet, you can also manually check it by going to the system software settings from the main system settings.
