Galaxy S21 owners in Europe can now download the September 2023 update
Samsung has already updated several Galaxy S series devices with the September 2023 update, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S20, etc. But I don’t know why Samsung forgot to expand the update to the Galaxy S21 series devices; however, now the company is rolling out the update to these devices.
The September 2023 update is currently rolling out in several European countries, including Switzerland, France, Austria, and Hungary. It is expected that it will be available in more countries in the next few days. Users who own the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G991BXXS9EWI1, G996BXXS9EWI1 and G998BXXS9EWI1, respectively.

The September 2023 update is one of the most common security updates; it doesn’t bring any novelty for your devices; all it brings are new security enhancements, which include several new fixes that enhance the overall performance and stability of your devices.
Moreover, the main aim of the update is to provide enhancements for the security of the Galaxy devices. It comes with 60+ security patches that ultimately boost the protection of the device by updating the security codes that stop the external threats present in the devices.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 in 2021. These devices come with Android 11. Later, it received two more Android updates in the form of Android 12 and Android 13. Earlier, the device was eligible to receive three major updates, but in 2022, Samsung expanded its eligibility, and the device is now eligible to get two more Android updates in the future.
