Unlocked Galaxy S23 getting September 2023 security update in the US
Samsung is rapidly expanding the September 2023 security update to eligible Galaxy devices. Initially, the company introduced the latest security patch update with the One UI 6 beta update for the Galaxy S23 devices in different countries. Now the company is rolling out the update to the non-beta Galaxy S23 devices.
Notably, the September 2023 security patch is now rolling out for the unlocked variant of the Galaxy S23 devices. Users who own the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S911U1UES1AWHD, S916U1UES1AWHD and S918U1UES1AWHD respectively.

The September 2023 security update is a part of the security maintenance of devices introduced by Google, so don’t expect any novelty for your device; however, it will come with some fixes that enhance the overall security of the Galaxy devices.
According to the official documentation, the update brought more than 60 fixes for the devices, of which 27 are provided by Google and are applicable for all other Android devices, while Samsung has also introduced 35 more patches that exclusively fix the security flaws of Galaxy devices.
