Samsung, one of the world’s leading smartphone makers, recently announced a series of security patches for September 2023. The updates are expected to address several vulnerabilities in various Samsung models and offer greater protection against potential threats.
Samsung September 2023 Security Patch
Samsung began deploying the Security 2023 security patch a couple of days ago with the One UI 6 beta update, but as usual, the company did not immediately publish which vulnerabilities were fixed with the new patches for security reasons. Today, the Korean giant published the update changelog by releasing its September 2023 security bulletin.
According to Samsung’s security bulletin, the September 2023 security patch fixes 62 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. Google has provided 27 of these 62 fixes, while Samsung has created 35 SVE fixes. Four of these security flaws are marked as critical, while 19 flaws are of high priority, 2 are moderate, and 2 are low.
However, the company has already started sending the Android September 2023 security patches and started with the S series. The update is currently available for a limited number of One UI 6.0 beta testers for Galaxy S23 users. It will soon expand to other devices as well.
Moreover, Samsung has addressed some security loopholes and variabilities in several functions and apps, such as Samsung Keyboard, Dual Messenger, Phone and Messaging Storage, Settings, One UI Home, Weather, WiFi, Hotspot, etc. Samsung claims that all the mentioned apps and functions are now fixed and safe to use, and the company also promises that if there is any bug left apart from this, it will surely fix it in another update.
