Samsung has not provided a specific date for when security updates for these devices will end. However, the company typically provides security updates for its devices for a period of five years after the device is released.

Samsung’s decision to end the major software update cycle for its older Galaxy devices is not surprising. The company has a wide range of devices to support, and it is not always feasible to provide major software updates for all of them.
