Galaxy A14 5G gets One UI 5.1.1 features with new firmware in the US

Samsung has rolled out a new firmware update for the Galaxy A14 in the US. It has already received the update on carrier-locked variants in some carriers; now the update is available for Verizon-affiliated units. This time, the company is not limiting the update to the security patch but has packed in some new enhancements that will bring some new enhancements for the devices. Let’s know about it.

The Galaxy A14 gets One UI 5.1.1 enhancements

Galaxy A14 devices will be enhanced with the new features, which are taken from the One UI 5.1.1 update. According to the official changelog, here are all the features:

Gallery: In the Gallery, a new copy/paste effects feature is added, and there are some more watermark styles added for date and time. The Remaster picture function is also improved.

Samsung Health: Several changes have been made to the UI of Samsung Health. The sleep management system has been upgraded, including sleep score factors, sleep consistency, and sleep animal symbols.

Quick share: in the Quick share function, there are two new features added: private sharing is added to set time limits and prevent recipients from resharing files; and it also added a share to contacts function, which helps to quickly find your contacts and share files.

Device care: With the new update, the device care has received two changes: the option to clear app cache and the added memory resident apps option for managing processes, along with enhanced memory management.

Mobile hotspot: For managing the hotspot, the new update has brought some new options, such as adding a dashboard for hotspot mobile data usage, adding data limits for managing hotspot usage, and adding a one-time password to provide temporary access to the hotspot.

The Galaxy A14 is now receiving the September 2023 update; it is currently available for the locked variants and has been spotted on the Verizon network. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version number, A146USQU4BWH4.

The September 2023 patch includes more than 60 fixes that enhance the overall security of the devices. Along with this, the update may also provide more stability and improvements to the functions of the devices. Users can easily update their devices by going to the system settings, tapping on the software update option, and touching the Download and Install menu. Wait for it to show a new update available, then tap on the Download button.
