The Samsung Galaxy S23 is the first device to receive the OneUI 6 beta update, and it could also be the first to receive a stable update in the coming days. Apart from the beta update, the device is also the first one to get the October 2023 One UI Beta 4 update, and now it is expanding to non-beta devices.

Notably, the Galaxy S23 devices are now getting an October 2023 update in some European countries and India. Users who own Galaxy S23 devices in Europe can identify the update by the firmware version number S91*BXXS3AWIF. The Indian variants of Galaxy S23 devices are getting the new update with firmware version number S91*BXXS3AWIG. It is expected that the update will be available in more countries in the next few days.

One UI 6.0 Beta Update for Android 14 Rolling Out to Select Samsung Galaxy Devices

The October 2023 update does not belong to the One UI, so don’t expect any new features with the update. It is one of the device maintenance updates that is given by Google to every Android device on a monthly basis. However, Google doesn’t push the update directly to all devices; it hands over the software to the brands so they can decide on which device the update should be available. Due to this, Samsung is able to provide some extra patches for its devices.

In the latest patch update, there are nearly four dozen fixes introduced, of which 34 were added by Google to resolve the issues related to the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung also added 12 more patches that exclusively fix the security vulnerabilities related to Galaxy devices.

Users who own Galaxy S23 devices in Europe and India can now download the latest update. To do so, you just have to open the system settings, select the software update, tap on the Download and Install button, and wait for some time until it finishes searching. Now, if it shows a new update available, tap on the download button.
