One UI 6.0 Beta Update for Android 14 Rolling Out to Select Samsung Galaxy Devices

This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about One UI 6. It’s the newest version of Samsung’s special software that runs on Android 14. People have been trying it out and testing it for a few weeks now on both expensive and not-so-expensive Samsung phones.

The final, finished version of One UI 6 should be ready at the end of October. Just a few days ago, Samsung officially showed off the new version of One UI. Even though many people, including us, have been trying it out and testing it, there are still some new things to find in One UI 6.

Samsung started the One UI 6 beta program in seven countries: China, India, Poland, Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This update comes with lots of new stuff and improvements to various parts of the system, like the Quick Panel, Lock Screen, Home Screen, Multitasking, Samsung Keyboard, and more.

In a few days, Samsung rolled out the sixth beta update. In this update, the company hasn’t introduced any new features or functions for the devices, but it improves all the functions that were introduced in the last update. It is worth noting that these updates were introduced in the Galaxy S23 series devices in different countries, but now the company is gradually expanding the beta program to more Galaxy devices, like the Galaxy A54, which has grabbed the update in the UK and South Korea, while the Galaxy A34 is getting the update in the UK.

How to join the One UI 6 beta program

Users can easily join the One UI 6 beta program by first installing the Samsung Members app on their phone and, if it is already installed, updating the app if it is available. Now, when you open the app, you will see the One UI Beta Program banner on the top. Tap on it and register your device; once that’s done, you will get a new update within a few minutes.

Last year, Samsung delivered the stable One UI 5 update based on Android 13 for the Galaxy S22 series in the third week of October. So, it’s reasonable to expect that they’ll launch One UI 6 somewhere between early to mid-October this year.

Apart from the Galaxy S23, Samsung’s One UI 6 test program is available for a bunch of other Galaxy devices like the Galaxy A34, A54, Galaxy S22, and the S21 series. Still, considering how quickly Samsung rolled out One UI 5 in 2022, they should be able to update most of their devices to stable Android 14 before this year ends.
