Galaxy S24 Ultra to be a blockbuster in Performance

The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung’s future flagship smartphone, is quite highly anticipated to be a market leader for its processor. The ultra variant will only be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 all over the globe, which promises notable performance enhancements; however, the chipset has not been launched yet. Earlier this week, the Exynos 2400 CPU was launched, and its performance quite raised the bar. It will be used in the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models. A new development included the US version of Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: A deep dive

The CPU-bound tasks for the Galaxy S24 Ultra were clearly identified through a leaked test from the Geekbench database. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has reportedly been detected on Geekbench (version 6.2.0), codenamed ‘pineapple’ with model number SM-S928U. In both the single-core and multi-core tests, the gadget received scores of 2,234 and 6,807, respectively. A single-core CPU performance score of 1,895 and a multi-core CPU performance score of 5,062 were detected for the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Unpacked event could be held in the US

Other than performance, it is revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU features one Cortex-X4 processor running at 3.3 GHz, three Cortex-A720 processors running at 3.15 GHz, two Cortex-A720 processors running at 2.96 GHz, and two Cortex-A520 processors at 2.27 GHz. It is rumored to have a 40% boost in GPU performance compared to the previous version.

The Galaxy S24 and S24+ will also equip the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the regions of Canada, China, and the United States, along with the Exynos 2400 chipset, which is said to be available for other regions.

Ahead of the Snapdragon Summit 2023 later this month, where the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU will be officially unveiled.
