Samsung equally focuses on its every division, whether it is the smartphone industry, the semiconductor division, or the Samsung display division.

Samsung Electronics is now bringing an exclusive feature to the users of Samsung TV Plus, and that too in its native region, the Korean market. On December 14, 2023, which is tomorrow, the South Korean giant will be launching a new movie VOD service, which Samsung TV Plus users can access. Through this new movie VOD service, the Korean people can enjoy a variety of movies any time, anywhere.

As shared by Samsung, this new movie VOD service brings top-rated Korean movies to your Samsung TV Plus. To celebrate the occasion of Christmas, Samsung is bringing Christmas special movies for the users, such as ‘Charles Dickens’ Secret Library’, ‘Noel’s Gift’, and ‘Paddington 2.’ In order to grow the amount of VOD content to around 150 by the end of the current year and to roughly 1,000 the next year, Samsung Electronics and KT Alpha initiated their partnership. Also, by watching advertisements, you may access material without having to pay a monthly membership fee.

Through UI upgrades, Samsung TV Plus has recently increased the usability of content navigation. A navigation bar was added to the left side of the home screen to provide easy access to themed sites such as Home, Live TV, Movies/TV Shows, Music, and Kids. With the addition of CJ ENM-only channels, customers Meenu access material from those networks, including “Amazing Saturday,” “Our Blues,” and “Mr. Sunshine,” that is not offered by other domestic FAST providers. Movies by genre and subject are available for viewing on the “Movie Theatre” screen for Samsung TV Plus customers.

Choi Yong-hoon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, “Considering the diverse tastes of users, we plan to expand VOD to more than 1,000 next year by strengthening content partnerships,” and added, “We plan to continuously improve the consumer experience through high-quality content and UI updates.”
