Carrier-locked Galaxy S21 FE devices get One UI 6.0 update in the US

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE back in 2022. The device came with Android 12 preinstalled. Later, it received one major update in the form of Android 13, and as per the eligible policy, it will get three more major updates in the future. From them, the device has now started getting a second update in the form of Android 14 and One UI 6.

According to the information, the latest update is now available for some more locked variants of the Galaxy S23 FE with new security enhancements from the December 2023 patch. Earlier, it received the same update on some carriers, but it was available with the November 2023 patch.

The carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy S21 FE is now available with the firmware version number G990U2SQU7FWKD. The update has already been rolled out for the Exynos-powered devices as well.

According to the official changelog of One UI 6, it brings several new features and improvements to several existing functionalities, including camera, gallery, weather, and many more. For instance, there are two new widgets introduced that will bring new experiences to using cameras and weather, namely the custom camera and weather insight. There are some new changes made to the UI, like a newly designed Quick Panel, and to enhance security, it has also brought a new feature like auto-blocker.
