Carrier-locked Galaxy S22 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro receiving December 2023 update in the US

Samsung has recently rolled out the December 2023 update to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy XCover 6 Pro smartphones, but it was limited to some countries. Now, with the latest development, these devices are getting the latest security update in the US.

As of writing, both smartphones are getting new updates from different carriers. More specifically, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices are getting new updates on US Cellular with the firmware version numbers S901USQS3DWKA, S906USQS3DWKA, and S908USQS3DWKA, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy XCover 6 is getting an update with firmware version number G736USQU7CWK6. It is getting new updates on different carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS. It is expected that the device will get a major update in the coming days.

The December 2023 update is one of the security updates that doesn’t include any new features or innovations for the devices, but it may bring some internal bug fixes that enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices. According to the official documentation, there are more than 60 fixes included in the patch, which will improve the overall security of the devices.
