Galaxy S25’s Processor May Also Power the Upcoming Z Fold 7

Samsung is gearing up to bring its seventh-generation foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Recently, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, which is entirely powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The upcoming foldable smartphone is also expected to be based on the same chipset as the Galaxy S25 series.

Previously, it was rumored that Samsung could use a modified version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. A new report claimed that rumors regarding the downgraded Snapdragon 8 Elite version are false.

A tipster, PandaFlash, shared a post on X, claiming he got confirmation that Samsung will use the same Galaxy S25 series processor for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Which is Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be powered by an in-house Exynos 2500 chipset and feature a 2600 nits peak brightness. Both devices are anticipated to run Android 15-based One UI 7.1 out of the box.

The company is expected to launch the upcoming foldable devices sometime in the early second half of the year at the Galaxy Unpacked event. However, Samsung has yet to reveal any official details regarding the upcoming foldable smartphones, so it remains to be seen whether these leaked reports will come true.
