Galaxy S25 Ultra Faces Early Reports of Screen Issues

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is not even a month older, and the buyers already started reporting about the mysterious screen glitch they are facing.
Right after the launch event, Samsung opened the pre-order for the Galaxy S25 series from 22 January to 7 February. Samsung has already begun delivering smartphones to the customers who placed pre-orders.
Galaxy S25 Ultra users are struggling with a screen glitch issue
Against expectations, the Galaxy S25 Ultra customers experienced mysterious screen glitches and unkind return policies.
A user on Reddit reported that Samsung delivered a defective Galaxy S25 Ultra that had a screen glitch. The glitch arises when the panel develops a thin horizontal line, primarily during the process of receiving the phone and waking up the screen before unlocking the device.

The customer reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra screen has a blinking issue. To deal with this issue, he tested the device in Safe Mode following the official instructions from the company. Unfortunately, a full factory reset did not yield a positive outcome, suggesting that the issue could potentially be attributed to a hardware defect.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra display shows vertical lines while using the camera
Apart from the screen glitch, another user reported a different issue: the display showcases vertical lines while using the camera while switching between different zoom levels using the Zoom Rocker UI.
When the user switches between different zoom standards using the Zoom Rocker UI, though they are limited to the camera viewfinder, suddenly vertical lines start occurring on the display.
However, the glitch seemed to be a minor software issue, as the rest of the screen remained glitch-free.
Noticeably, these incidents raise concerns regarding the quality control of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s initial batch, and if the issues become widespread, they could result in customer dissatisfaction. Also, Samsung has yet to introduce dedicated policies or any support system to address customers’ concerns and ensure that those affected by issues like screen glitches receive suitable solutions.
