Samsung has delayed its One UI 7 distribution program too much, and if we talk about the current status, the company has recently introduced the stable version with the Galaxy S25 series while the predecessor series is stuck in the beta program. But surprisingly, the company has introduced some OneUI 7 based features for the Galaxy books before other Galaxy phones.
Samsung has sent a new update for its PC-compatible “Samsung Settings” application on the Microsoft Store for the Galaxy books with several new features to make them a proper sync between Samsung laptops and Galaxy devices on One UI 7.
To experience the new change Galaxy Book users can now install the new update of Samsung settings with the firmware version 7.0.10.0.
With the latest update, the layout of the Samsung settings is refreshed and matches with the One UI 7-based UI available for smartphones [currently available in the Galaxy S25 (On Board) and S24 series (Beta)].
Additionally, the update also brings a new app called Nearby Devices, which is similar to the nearby smartphones. According to the report, after updating it the Galaxy Book 3 Pro now appears on the Galaxy S25+ and vice versa. This means you will get more control while using the feature across the ecosystem.
In addition to these, a new app, “Storage Share,” is also available for Galaxy Books. This feature seems to bring similar functionality as the Link to Windows app and allows users to access their phone’s data or different files through Windows Explorer.
Along with these, there is a new camera feature also available named as “camera share” for laptops that allows users to use their Galaxy Phone’s camera as a webcam for their Galaxy Book.
