While rolling out the latest security patches to its devices, including flagship S series, foldables and mid-tier models, Samsung never forgets to keep its rugged devices updated, and thus the company started the February 2025 security update rollout for Galaxy XCover 7, XCover 6 Pro, and Galaxy Tab Active 5

It’s the perfect chance to grab the latest February security patch as Samsung is rolling out the software for a few of its rugged devices and is now available in Europe.

The update for the units can be identified with their respective build numbers, as Galaxy XCover 7 comes with G556BXXS7BYB1, Galaxy XCover 6 Pro comes with G736BXXS8EYB4 and lastly, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 has the X300XXS5AYB2 build numbers.

The update; however, doesn’t introduce any major features and changes, rather it packs a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in previous versions that significantly help in improving overall system security in order to offer a more safe and secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threat.

On the other hand, the software further brings certain performance optimizations, adds stability to the overall system behavior that leads to a more smooth, optimized and efficient functionality. Meanwhile, the update for Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, XCover 7 and Tab Active 5 is available, thus, users can download the latest version on their devices when available
