Google appears to be working on a new customizable Quick Settings with Android 16

Google is moving closer to trigger its next Android OS, Android 16 to enter into the platform stability phase, with the stable release being scheduled for Q2, 2025. While the development is currently under-process, a recent report suggests that a more customizable Quick settings could make its way with the next major Android platform.

According to the information leaked via a video on Telegram, asserting that Google has added a few options that will allow Android users to customize their Android 16’s Quick Settings.

In comparison with the past abilities, Google has performed a lot of changes and enhancements, the new Quick settings will now allow users to resize and rearrange the tiles, while also making it possible to remove unwanted tiles more efficiently. This reduces the hustle of dragging the tile to the bottom in order to remove the tile.

Apart from this, there seems to be no other changes or any major features added, however, Android 16 is currently in its early development stage and Google, obviously, can make changes ahead of rolling out Android 16 stable version first to its Pixels, which is then followed by Android smartphones from other manufacturers like Samsung.

Moreover, Android 16 Beta 2 significantly brought about some interesting camera features and customizations. It’s possible that Google’s Android 16 will get a few additional tweaks and improvements in the coming future.
