DeepSeek is a Chinese AI firm that develops large language models (LLMs) that are open-source and are dedicated and designed to be more affordable as compared to those from other firms.
The Korean tech giant has already integrated Gemini with its Galaxy AI suite and other apps & services. Now it is looking forward to expanding its ways with AI offerings in the Chinese tech market to maintain its leading legacy.
Samsung Brings DeepSeek AI to Bixby, Boosting Galaxy S25’s AI Capabilities in China
Following the launch and instant rise of DeepSeek, several Chinese smartphone brands have already announced the integration of this AI model into their products. Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, IceUniverse, shared a video post on its X handle, showcasing Bixby executing queries, leveraging DeepSeek AI on the Galaxy S25 series. However, this new integration doesn’t affect Gemini and Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S25 series as it’s being offered through Samsung’s Bixby.

Samsung’s virtual assistant Bixby now showcases when it uses the DeepSeek R1 model to generate responses and offers transparency regarding the AI source to users. The DeepSeek AI is expected to be rolled out to Bixby through an app update.
