Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra surpasses many of the smartphones available in the market in terms of camera ranking with a 146 DXOMARK score.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the latest Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra which ranks 25th worldwide with a 146 DXOMARK score. It highlighted a few solid strengths of the smartphone’s camera; for instance, it delivers good detail in zoom shots, especially at long range, and manages exposure and dynamic range well in bright light videos, and more.
A DXOMARK score is a numerical rating given to the camera based on a comprehensive evaluation of its image quality across multiple lighting conditions and features, using a standardized testing protocol conducted by the firm DXOMARK.
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra secures the top position of the DXOMARK camera with a 163 score. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Honor Magic 6 Pro are placed in second & third place with 158 points each. The Galaxy S25 Ultra scored 146 and gained 25th rank.

Apart from the camera strengths of Galaxy S25 Ultra, DXOMARK also revealed a few drawbacks; for instance, it shakes up the performance with autofocus instabilities and exposure adaptation in video, alongside noticeable noise in low-light videos and photos, particularly in high-contrast scenarios.
