One UI 7 Drops Lock Screen Notification Customization from LockStar

Samsung offered dozens of new features, improvements, and notable customizable changes with the One UI 7 to enhance the user experience; however, apart from these enhancements, it also removed the facility to customize lock screen notifications from LockStar.

LockStar is one of the modules under the Good Lock app that allows users to personalize their lock screen notifications in multiple ways. The module offers several options to customize notifications, such as adjusting the transparency, size, color, and type of notifications, making the lock screen look unique. Recently Good Lock’s LockStar received One UI 7 support with exciting new features.

Noticeably, with the new Android 15-based One UI 7, Samsung removed the customized lock screen notification feature as many users reported that these features no longer worked. Despite installing the LockStar module, options to change the appearance of notifications on the lock screen, such as their transparency or size, would not take effect.

After acknowledging the same report from many Galaxy users, Samsung has confirmed that with One UI 7, notification customization is no longer supported in the LockStar app. Potentially, Samsung, the company, could add back this feature with a future update since many users are asking for it.
