One UI 7 Gains AI Spam Text Blocking, But Most Users Won’t Get It

Samsung collaborated with Korea’s Internet & Security Agency to offer Korean Galaxy users a new AI-powered spam filter feature with Android 15-based One UI 7.
Samsung is all set to start releasing stable One UI 7 based on Android 15 from April 7 in the Korean market. The update is already rumored to bring dozens of new features, improvements, and notable changes to enhance the overall system software. Now a new report suggests that the coming update will also bring a new feature called AI Spam Filter.
A report from ETNews suggests that Samsung is planning to introduce a new feature, specifically for Korean users, with the One UI 7 update. However, a few years ago, the company introduced a similar feature called Message Guard as an advanced sandbox compatible with checking the file bit by bit and processing it in a controlled environment to ensure it cannot infect the rest of your device.
The recently unveiled One UI 7 Spam Filter feature utilizes AI to identify and prevent suspicious content. Reportedly, this new feature will only be available in the Korean market. Potentially, the company could expand the Message Guard to include such capabilities for global users.
It is unclear how the feature will work and how convenient it will be since there are no official details.
