Android Auto could let users use navigation via smart glasses while driving

Google has always been consistently delivering updates for its smart driving companion, Android Auto, while the platform has received plenty of stunning yet useful features that take the user experience to the next level. Following the Android Auto 14.1 beta update; meanwhile, Google has already begun rolling out a new 14.2 version for the users.

Previously, Android Auto 14.1 update showcased the capability, allowing users to play a few selected Android games on their car’s display when it is parked; however, later, it was reported that these games can be easily played if the user’s smartphone is running Android 15 or a higher OS version.

Meanwhile, an all new Android Auto 14.2 version has started hitting users, which is currently running in its beta channel. It could change the way users see navigation via Google Maps, as uncovered by Android Authority. They basically came across a string code that hints that the latest Android Auto 14.2 beta version holds the integration of smart glasses that will be helpful in showing navigations in the driver’s field of vision.

At the same time, the Hindi string code states: “To view navigation on smart glasses, start navigation.”

Meanwhile, this newest feature currently seems to be in an early development stage, thus Android Auto users need to wait for this capability to arrive within the platform, or else it’s all up to Google whether it wants to integrate smart glasses into Android Auto or not.

With that, the latest Android Auto 14 (stable) update is already available for all the users worldwide, Google is expected to integrate some new features within the newly-released Android Auto 14.2 beta in the coming future. But for now, users can download the beta update on their devices.
