
Samsung Galaxy A55 is the only smartphone in the Galaxy lineup to receive the May 2025 security patch yet. Meanwhile, a report is blowing in the market, revealing the new upgrades coming with the latest security patch to the Galaxy S25 series.
We are in the final days of April, and Samsung has already released the May 2025 patch for the mid-range Galaxy A55 along with the One UI 7 beta 3. Whereas the flagship smartphones are waiting for the latest patch, including the Galaxy S25 series.
Noticeably, a new report revealed that Samsung will offer a few notable tweaks and improvements with the May 2025 update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones. Reportedly, the users will free up some space since the update is quite lengthy in size, i.e., 1.4 GB.

The report also revealed a new firmware build, S938BXXU2AYDB, which has been spotted on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The coming security patch will bring a few notable improvements to enhance camera performance to deliver better photo quality, and smoother video recording.
Apart from the camera enhancement, the update is also anticipated to fix multiple bugs in the UI and include a new UI home screen version. According to the report, the May 2025 security patch will upgrade the One UI Home app to v16.0.05.59 version and the Camera app to v15.0.02.42 version. It will be interesting to see exactly what new changes the company will offer with the upcoming update for the Galaxy S25 series.
