One UI 7: Get Ready for Effortless HD Voice Calls on Your Galaxy

Samsung always strives to perform excellently well in almost every aspect, especially when it comes to its Galaxy smartphones. Now, the latest Samsung and GSMA partnership appears to be taking a step further in enhancing connectivity across Galaxy devices.

Substantially, GSMA (Global Mobile Industry Association) joined hands with Samsung Electronics, taking a step towards an era to enhance voice call quality and connectivity over 4G and 5G networks via turning on VoLTE by default on the Galaxy smartphones.

Not only Samsung will enable VoLTE by default on all of its Galaxy devices, but also this service will be compatible with the models running Android 15 (One UI 7) or higher OS versions. At the same time, this initiative aims to expand seamless call networks and connectivity by VoLTE globally.

All the eligible Samsung Galaxy devices, including the newly-launched Galaxy S25 series will be incorporated with the technology that will enable models to access high-quality Volte on locations where supported by using operator-defined IMS settings via NSX or defaulting to GSMA when necessary.

Since this technology requires testing on a large scale in order to enable VoLTE on Samsung Galaxy devices worldwide, Samsung has apparently aligned its testing procedure with GSMA standards for VoLTE testing methods that will eventually confirm operator-device compatibility for VoLTE ahead of its commercial deployment.
