Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 gains the May 2025 security patch

Among the One UI 7 stable rollout, Samsung is delivering the latest May 2025 security patch to all of its eligible Galaxy devices simultaneously. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 units are receiving the new security patch.

Following the rollout for the Galaxy S24 family, Samsung’s May security patch has already started hitting the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models, carrying the build numbers F956NKSS2BYDD and F741NKSS2BYDD, respectively. Currently, the update has been spotted in South Korea and will be available in more regions shortly.

More specifically, the latest security patch for Samsung’s 6th generation foldables; however, doesn’t introduced any major features and changes; rather it focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality by integrating a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been brought up by both Google and Samsung collectively in order to offer a more secure user experience.

In addition, being a minor security update, it further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior, and brings various performance optimisations that help users to have a smoother, efficient and stable experience.

Since the May patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 owners is now available, more eligible Galaxy smartphones, tablets and foldables will be added to the list soon.
