Galaxy S26 Edge Could Join S26 and S26 Ultra as New Lineup Member

Samsung is gearing up to debut its next-generation Galaxy S26 series, and reportedly, it’s planning to replace the Plus model with the Edge.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Recently, it has also launched the Galaxy S25 Edge and is also planning to launch the Galaxy S25 FE soon. It is supposed to debut the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, which could include the Galaxy S26 Edge in place of the Plus model.
Samsung Could Drop ‘Plus’ for ‘Edge’ Variant in Upcoming Galaxy S26 Series
A new report from The Elec revealed that Samsung will replace the Plus model in the future Galaxy S26 series with the lightweight and slim Edge model. The reason behind this replacement is due to the lower sales rate of the Plus device in recent years as compared to the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
A few days back, it was reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s sold units are equal to the sum of its other two siblings. According to the metrics, the Ultra variant accounted for 17.4 million units, and the base variant registered 13.6 million units. Whereas the Plus variant only made up 6.7 million units in sales.
However, it’s too early to discuss this, since there’s no official statement from Samsung regarding this report yet, so it remains to be seen exactly what will happen next.
