Galaxy A16 based on kid-friendly Troomi OS, launched in the US

Samsung Galaxy A16, based on Kid-friendly Troomi OS, is all set to launch in the US to ensure that children remain protected from potentially harmful content.
US-based Troomi has created its fork of Android (Troomi OS) for kid-friendly phones. Troomi’s proprietary operating system, built from the ground up to support healthy digital habits and age-appropriate tech use.
Troomi OS is another kind of Android ROM and also a custom Android fork that delivers upgraded parental control features, safety settings, and a grouped applications ecosystem that aims to limit kids’ access to potentially harmful content.
It will allow parents to block particular applications and content to protect their children from unwanted and harmful content. It lets parents access a web-based portal to monitor calls, messages, screen time, and usage reports in real-time. Interestingly, it is compatible with any smartphone that parents may have.
Parents are also able to select specific websites, contacts, messaging, calling, and other features the child can access on their device. Noticeably, social media is excluded entirely from Troomi OS, and it also prevents exposure to harmful content.
It also offers real-time visibility to parents and control of their child’s device from any phone. AI content filtering works in the background to block harmful texts and images, and after detecting it alerts parents when their attention is required. Troomi has now started selling the Galaxy A16 with its Android fork in the US, for $199. You can check more details here.
