Circle to Search will generate results on full screen soon

Samsung Galaxy users, get ready to experience a more enhanced Circle to Search feature on your smartphones as it will now use your whole screen to generate suggestions and results.

Circle to Search is quite convenient to quickly search for information about what you see on your screen using intuitive gestures like circling, scribbling, highlighting, and tapping. This feature, powered by Google, allows you to search for information without leaving the current app or switching to another, but until now, it only generates the result on half the screen.

Circle to Search

Now, a new report from one of our reliable colleagues, 9to5Google, revealed that Google is now upgrading the behavior of Circle to Search so that it will capture your entire screen and automatically add it to the upcoming text query. With this upgrade, instead of a general text search, you’ll now “Ask about this image.”

Now, while “Search anything,” first you have to remove the image by tapping on it twice in the box. This new upgrade will be convenient for users to let Circle to Search generate results on full screen by just tapping anywhere on the display without even having to manually expand the capture area.

According to the report, this new whole-screen Circle to Search feature was spotted in the beta version (16.18) of the Google app. Currently, this new feature is available for selected beta users, but it’s expected to be available widely soon.
