Even after being the most massive upgrade in the One UI’s history, Samsung’s One UI 7 turned out to be a frustrating aspect for the Galaxy audience. Well, it’s been a while since the stable rollout started; however, users have raised their concerns regarding their Galaxy phone’s quick battery drainage after updating to One UI 7.
As already discussed, it was initially seen that the Galaxy S24 family and Galaxy Z Fold 6 owners have been facing a weird battery drainage issue right after installing the One UI 7 update on their respective models, as these were the first to get the software.
Meanwhile, it is normal when the device’s battery is consumed quickly and in an increased manner at the time of the installation of a major OS update due to large optimizations in the background. However, the battery drain issue was further joined by more Galaxy devices as the update is being diffused widely.
More specifically, users have reported that they have been getting a screen time of 6-7 hours before the One UI 7 update, while this eventually dropped to only 3-4 hours of screen time a day, which is not even a complete day on an average. Although Samsung is yet to share any comment or take any action regarding this weird battery drain issue arriving in Galaxy phones, users have further shared a few tips that might help in solving the problem.
Moreover, users can try clearing cache, turn off device >> connect to a PC >> hold Power and Volume Up keys >> as Samsung logo pops up >> release power button >> if blue screen comes release the volume key >> Wipe cache partition >> press power button >> Yes >> Reboot system now.
Beyond this, users can even try factory resetting their device, probably the last solution of the battery problem. Well, Samsung is currently optimizing the system and hopefully, future update like One UI 8 running Android 16 on top might solve this issue completely.
