Yesterday, Samsung rolled out the May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in the US. Now moving forward, the older foldable, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 also getting the fresh security patch.

The May 2025 security patch is expanding across the US for the locked variants. Now, with the latest development, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are starting to get the May 2025 patch, specifically on the Verizon and Spectrum mobile locked units. Users who own the locked version can identify the devices with the firmware version numbers F946USQS6EYE2 and F731USQS6EYE2, respectively. It is expected to be available to more carriers in the coming days.

The May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 for the device doesn’t bring any significant changes to the devices, but it could enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices.
