Well, the recent report claims that One UI 8 is all set to bring the WhatsApp call integration on the Now Bar and live activities.
Samsung introduced Now Bar with One UI 7, allowing Galaxy users to have all their key information or news at a glance on a pill-shaped bar at the bottom of the lock screen. This functionality becomes live activities in order to show all the relevant details and notifications on the status bar when the phone is unlocked.
More specifically, the source mentioned that they have just spotted an internal build (ZYEJ) on their Galaxy S25 Ultra model; however, the current beta build is ZYEP. It was noticed that the WhatsApp calls are entirely accessible via the Now Bar and Live activities in One UI 8, while also consisting of a hang up button.
Well, Samsung’s One UI 8 is currently in its early beta phase, with the public One UI 8 beta program is yet to be released; it’s possible that Samsung might add more interesting functionalities and changes in the coming future.
