Samsung could start the One UI 8 beta program this week

Samsung is actively setting up for its next major software update, Android 16-based One UI 8, and now it’s rumored to start the beta program this week or next week.

Samsung is almost done with its Android 15-based One UI 7 update rollout to its flagship and mid-range Galaxy devices and will start rolling out the update for eligible affordable devices soon. Meanwhile, it was already working on the latest One UI 8 iteration and expected to introduce it stably with Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the first week of July at the Unpacked event. 

Samsung has not yet released any official notification for the One UI 8 beta release date. A reliable tipster, Anthony, shared a post on X, claiming that One UI 8 beta could start as early as this week or next week. 

Apart from the expected timeline, he also mentioned the list of supported flagships for the beta program, inlcuidng Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22 series, and Glaxy S21 FE. He also mention a few devices from Galaxy Z family, inlcuidng Galaxy Z Fold SE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. 

It was previously reported that Samsung could start rolling out the One UI 8 beta program by the end of this month. However, the company has not yet revealed its official statement regarding the exact beta release date. 

A few days back, the One UI 8 beta forum page was also spotted on Samsung’s Community website for multiple countries, including India and Poland, which hints at the near release.
