One UI 8 Update to Modernize Samsung Calendar Experience

Samsung is gearing up for the next major OS update, Android 16-based One UI 8, and could start the beta program later this week. The update is anticipated to bring several notable improvements and tweaks, including a new and refreshed Calendar app.
Recently, it’s been reported that the latest update will bring key upgrades and new animation to the Calculator app. Now, a user on X leaked several Calendar app screenshots, revealing what new changes are coming with the One UI 8 update.
According to the leaked images, the Calendar app will get a deeper black background for a better visual experience, rounded event cards, revamped icons, smooth “Dismiss” and Snooze” buttons for event alerts, and a new tabbed layout for creating events and reminders.




The update will improve search filters with new pill-shaped sections. Apart from this, there are no other majornges that have appeared yet, but the leaked images showcase the company’s massive jump towards modernizing stock applications. Reminder: Gallery, My Files, and several other applications are getting a visual and functional overhaul in One UI 8.
Whereas another X user also shared a screenshot, revealing that the One UI 8 features an updated My Files app and DeX UI. The screenshot points out how the app shows the file path as you go deeper into folders. However, Samsung has yet to reveal the official changes coming to the Calendar app, so it remains to be seen whether the leaked details will come into existence.
