One UI 8 beta is preventing Good Lock modules & Google Wallet working seamlessly

Samsung has launched the One UI 8 beta program for its latest flagship Galaxy S25 series. They have started testing the first beta, however, users have been facing several issues regarding Good Lock modules and Google Wallet.

Recently, Samsung notified One UI 8 beta participants regarding a few essential information that they should be aware of. Currently, the beta firmware is only available for the Galaxy S25 series in selected regions, but it could be expanded to more eligible regions, as the company has also started internal testing of One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 lineup.

However, right after installing the  One UI 8 beta, users started facing a few issues regarding some Good Lock modules and Google Wallet. A new report revealed that five out of the fifteen Good Lock modules, including Home Up, Game Booster Plus, NavStar, QuickStar, and MultiStar, no longer work seamlessly after upgrading a Galaxy S25 device to the One UI 8 beta.

Apart from the Good Lock modules, a few issues also emerged in the financial application, for instance, Google Wallet. However, Samsung has already notified the beta participants that the beta build could affect the financial app.

It’s highly anticipated that the company could fix these issues with the next beta build. Samsung has already confirmed that the stable One UI 8 will be introduced on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the Unpacked event sometime in July.
