Samsung is about to expand its flagship S series by introducing the next generation Galaxy S26 family to the podium. The upcoming models are expected to bring a host of features and upgrades; meanwhile, the Ultra model could add a little more to the lineup, suggesting a big upgrade to the Telephoto camera.
For years, the camera department has been the most significant factor of the Galaxy smartphones, specifically for the Ultra models of the flagship S series, also, Samsung has noticeably worked on improving the camera quality year after year.
Meanwhile, it appears like Samsung could provide a significant boost to the Telephoto camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
However, a lot of specifications have started circulating online, while Samsung seems to be preparing to incorporate the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 3x Telephoto camera with a significantly bigger boost to 50MP, ditching the 10MP Telephoto camera of Galaxy S25 Ultra.
It’s noticeable that Samsung has upgraded the camera setup for its renowned Galaxy S portfolio, where enhancements are done from 200MP main to 50MP Ultrawide. Therefore, it might happen that the 3x Telephoto camera could also receive a significant upgrade from a normal 10MP to a massive 50MP, making every moment look more attractive.
Well, Samsung is yet to provide any statement officially regarding the next generation Galaxy S26 series, and such leaks and rumours could not be considered true until the company announces it via its official pages or forums.
Beyond this, previous leaks even suggested that the Galaxy S26 could feature thinner cameras, may ditch Silcom-Carbon battery tech, the series could end up arriving with both Exynos and Snapdragon on the basis of different regions, Galaxy S26 Ultra to support virtual aperture in portrait photography.
