Galaxy S26 Series Marks Shift in Samsung’s Product Strategy

Samsung Galaxy S25 is still in the budding stage, and rumors have already started revealing the Galaxy S26 details. Samsung could ditch the vanilla variant from the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung is supposed to debut its next-generation Galaxy S25 series in early 2025. As reported, its Galaxy S26 series is expected to be in the line for early 2026 but without the base variant.
A reliable tipster, Ice Universe, suggests that Samsung may adjust the Galaxy S26 series, as it could cancel the vanilla model since it is no longer competitive. The reason behind this change seems to be the aggressive marketing scheme by Chinese smartphone manufacturers. The rival brands like OPPO and Vivo are gearing up to debut their tiny but high-end smartphones. The tipster hints that these handsets feature better specs than Samsung and Apple.
The coming Galaxy S25 series will include, as usual, three models: Base, Plus, and Ultra. However, the Galaxy S26 series is potentially a speculation judging from the product strategy. The Korean tech giant has continued to upgrade the specs of the S Plus models.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be powered by a high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor with a peak frequency of up to 5 GHz. This would be a significant improvement for Android devices. However, Samsung has yet to confirm whether this report is true.
