Galaxy Flip 7 could also join Qi2 Ready wireless charging technology

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 to launch next month alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and is expected to have Qi2 Ready wireless charging support. 

Samsung to hold its next major Unpacked event in July to launch next-generation foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7, and both of them are now reported to have Qi2 Ready wireless charging support. 

Recently, it has been reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have Qi2 Ready wireless charging, and now a new spotting suggests that its sibling Galaxy Z Flip 7, will also have the same charging support. The Wireless Power Consortium has just listed a Galaxy smartphone with the dedicated model number SM-A846U (QID-24330), revealing that it supports Qi2.1.

Since last time, the WPC has listed the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with the model number SM-A822D, although its actual model number is SM-F731. Following the same strategy where the letter after ‘SM’ is A for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, by this prospect, the SM-A846U is supposed to stand for the Galaxy Z Flip device. 

Currently, Samsung has two Galaxy Z Flip phones in the lineup, including the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE, so it remains to be seen which device will have the Qi2 Ready wireless charging support. Although most expected, Flip 7 could have this charging technology, since its sibling is also getting.
