Samsung phones to get “Generative AI shopping experience” soon

Samsung Galaxy users, be on alert, as the firm is rolling out a new “AI shopping experience” on the lockscreen of a few selected Galaxy phones.
The Korean tech firm, Samsung, has collaborated with Glance, which is a firm famous for building a lockscreen experience for Android that, among other things, shows ads. Let’s take a closer look at this new collaboration and check whether it will be convenient.
In case you missed it, Glance is a mobile advertising brand owned by InMobi, a software company based in India. The new partnership aims to focus particularly on the Samsung Galaxy Store and will use generative AI to enhance “Commerce and content discovery,” as it will show “trending content, local events, and social media moments.”
Glance AI will start rolling out to the Galaxy device initially in the US starting today, with the experience, thankfully, being “fully opt-in.” Noticeably, it will be disabled by default, but it doesn’t rule out a pop-up or other means of trying to get users to turn the feature on.
The company will roll out this feature to the Galaxy devices gradually in phases and will make it available to 100% of users within 30 days. Initially, a few selected Galaxy devices will get the feature as mentioned below –
However, currently, it’s unclear exactly how this feature will roll out, but it could be tied to a Galaxy Store update.
