Samsung Tipped to Launch Project Moohan During Unpacked 2025 Event

Samsung is all set to launch its Project Moohan (XR headset) next month, following a long period of teasing at various occasions. Let’s take a closer look at the report.

The Korean tech giant has been working on its first-ever Project Moohan for so long to launch this year. Initially, it offered a first glimpse of the headset at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025 alongside the Galaxy S25 series launch.

Currently, Samsung is ready to host the next major Galaxy Unpacked event of the year in July to debut its next-generation foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, we anticipate the company’s official launch of Project Moohan at the event.

A tipster, Panda Flash, on X, shared a post, hinting that Samsung’s Project Moohan could debut at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025. In addition, the tipster mentioned in the comment section that Project Moohan will initially launch in South Korea and may expand to more regions afterward.

In the past, reports suggested that Samsung would reveal the Project Moohan XR Headsets at MWC 2025. Recently, Google successfully held its I/O event, at which it announced that Samsung will launch its Project Moohan based on Android XR “later this year.” However, Samsung has yet to release the official timeline for the Project Moohan launch, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come true.
