Samsung to open 8th C-Lab Outside startup requirement program

Samsung announced that it will open the enrollments for its 8th ‘C-Lab Outside’ program running from June 16 to July 4. This initiative seeks promising startups across Korea, in several regions, including Seoul, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gwangju, in fields such as AI, robotics, digital health, IoT, content, mobility, materials/parts, and ESG, to foster collaborative growth with the company.

Noticeably, the C-Lab Outside program is only open for Korean-registered startups with Series B or initial-stage investments, with applications submitted via the official Samsung C-Lab website

The company will offer 100 million KRW as funding, office space to the selected startups, and will also provide expert mentorship, opportunities to exhibit at global events such as CES, and access to Samsung Patents. The startup will also get a golden chance at a possible partnership with Samsung’s products and services.

Since it’s an 8th ‘C-Lab Outside’ program, there are already a few great success stories of startups that exist: for instance, Lyduck, a fitness AI startup, partnered with Samsung to add its service to the Samsung Health app. Another startup, Pinpoint, designed a smart building app that is now used in Samsung’s office building.

A few years back, in 2018, the Korean tech firm, Samsung, started the C-Lab Outside program, which aims to help startup businesses grow and create more jobs. Now over seven years, the company is looking forward to more startups with the 8th C-Lab Outside Startup Recruitment.
