Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy S21 FE getting June 2025 Patch in the US

Samsung Galaxy S21 series alongside S21 FE units have finally started getting the latest June 2025 security patch, which joins more other flagships and mid-tier devices in the list.

Beginning from the US, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra units are receiving the June 2025 security patch in the country, carrying the build numbers, G991USQSGHYF2, G996USQSGHYF2 and G998USQSGHYF2, respectively.

In addition to the Galaxy S21 series, the fan edition model, Galaxy S21 FE models are also receiving the same June update in the US, which carry build number, G990USQSHHYF4; however, the update for both the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy S21 FE is currently available for the carrier-locked devices, while it’s expected that the rollout will expand to more units across the country soon.

More specifically, the latest update is just a minor security patch that is meant to strengthen the entire system security.

As per the details, where Samsung unveils that the latest June security patch; however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes, rather it significantly adds a host of bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been acknowledged in the previous version to provide a more secure users experience, while also protecting the device against external threats.

Beyond this, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior for a more efficient functionality, and also brings various optimizations for the device’s overall performance that eventually leads to a smoother experience to the users.

Well, currently, Samsung is releasing the June update for the Galaxy S21 series and S21 FE models in the US, while more eligible countries will follow the update over time in the coming future.
