Samsung is already eyeing to change its One UI release pattern from next year, with introducing One UI x.5 (back) and of course, for the first time after four years. With the entire Galaxy audience already tempted to know about this interesting build, but the biggest question is when Samsung is supposed to begin the One UI 8.5 rollout?
Indeed One UI 8.5 will be running Android 16 on top, similar to the standard One UI 8.0 version; it’s supposed to debut with Samsung’s next generation S series models, the Galaxy S26 series, out of the box.
One UI 8 Beta Is on Track — Will 8.5 Follow Soon After?
Basically, taking One UI 8 into consideration, Samsung doesn’t seem to be delaying the One UI 8 rollout any more, just what it does with One UI 7, at least for now, as the latest One UI 8 is looking perfectly on track, with two beta builds already been released for the Galaxy S25 series, and hopefully the beta build will follow more Galaxy devices shortly.
One UI 8.5 Likely to Debut with the Galaxy S26 Series
Samsung is expected to introduce One UI 8.5 alongside its next-generation Galaxy S26 series smartphones. Just like past releases, the company may preload this new software version on its flagship devices at launch.
While there’s no official confirmation yet, this pattern suggests Samsung might showcase One UI 8.5 at the same event where it unveils the Galaxy S26 series, likely in January or February 2026.
Well, if the speed of One UI 8 rollout remains constant, then it is to be believed that Samsung will probably be launching One UI 8.5 soon after the major One UI 8.0 version.
