Samsung Wallet brings Digital Key compatibility for Mercedes-Benz

Samsung enhanced the compatibility of its digital wallet, called “Samsung Wallet,” by adding the ability to store digital keys for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. 

Samsung Electronics announced that Samsung Wallet will soon support digital key compatibility for Mercedes-Benz vehicles starting next month. This new integration will allow Galaxy users to experience a more seamless way to lock and unlock, and even start their Mercedes-Benz vehicle instantly from their smartphone. 

Regarding this new collaboration, Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Our collaboration with Mercedes-Benz advances our vision of providing effortless access to tech-enabled experiences across the Galaxy ecosystem.”

The aim behind this integration is to bring convenience and luxury to users by bringing them the best vehicle experience possible. Once inside the vehicle, Samsung’s Digital Key lets you start your vehicle without even using a physical key or removing your smartphone from your pocket, as you can gain access to your vehicle, which also allows for a frictionless experience. 

Noticeably, in case you lose your smartphone containing the digital key, you can remotely lock or even delete your digital keys directly via the Samsung Find service, further safeguarding your vehicles.

Samsung Wallet will start rolling out Digital Key functionality starting from July 2025, initially in selected regions. Interested users can register their Digital Key through the Mercedes me application
