Galaxy Z Fold 7 to be thinnest & lightest foldable ever in Galaxy family

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone in the Galaxy family yet, as a new report says.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will debut at the Unpacked event on July 9, alongside its siblings Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Apart from these foldable phones, Samsung is also rumored to give a first glimpse of the Tri-Fold phone at the event.
Samsung has already assured that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have an Ultra-Slim design, but hasn’t revealed the exact dimensions of the device yet. Meanwhile, a new report from Weibo shared by Setsuna Digital revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will measure just 8.9mm while folded, whereas 4.2mm while unfolded.
If the report comes true, then this will be a great achievement for the company, as the phone will surpass OPPO Find N5’s slimness, which currently holds the crown in the market at 8.93mm. Apart from the thickness, the report also revealed that the device will weigh 215g and carry a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch internal screen. This means that the latest device will feature bigger displays as compared to its predecessor.
However, the exact official specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are yet to be revealed, so it remains to be seen whether the newly leaked report will come true. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.
